Can cracked roughcast be repaired without a full re-render? +
Often yes — a targeted patch and re-chip repair can fix a localised crack or hollow section. We'll assess whether a repair is appropriate or whether the damage is too extensive.
Why is my roughcast leaking? +
Cracks, hairline gaps around window and door openings, or hollow 'blown' sections can all let water through to the substrate. A roughcaster can identify the entry point and recommend a repair.
Will a repaired patch match the rest of the wall? +
We'll generally try to match the existing chip size and colour as closely as possible, though some colour variation between old and new render is common, particularly on older, weathered finishes.
