About k rend
K Rend is a silicone-enhanced, factory-coloured render system applied in thin coats over a base coat and mesh. Because the colour runs through the material rather than being painted on top, it doesn't need repainting and is designed to resist algae and staining better than traditional painted render.
Signs you need this
K Rend is chosen both for new render work and as an upgrade when re-rendering or rendering over existing roughcast or pebble dash, particularly where low future maintenance is a priority.
Options
K Rend is available in various textures (including K1 fine-textured and scraped-texture finishes) and a wide factory colour range. It can often be applied over sound existing roughcast or pebble dash once assessed and prepared correctly.

K Rend FAQs
Can K Rend be applied over existing roughcast? +
Often yes, provided the existing roughcast is a sound, stable substrate. We'll need to assess and prepare it first — loose or hollow sections usually need repair.
Does K Rend need to be repainted? +
No — the colour runs through the material, so it doesn't need repainting in the way a traditional painted render does, though like any render it benefits from occasional cleaning.
Is K Rend more expensive than traditional render? +
K Rend is generally a premium system compared to basic painted render, reflecting the material cost and lower long-term maintenance. See our house rendering cost guide for indicative ranges.
